The Fort Ransom State Forest offers a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, horseback riding, hunting, kayaking and canoeing. Visitors can also explore the North Country National Scenic Trail and visit North Dakota's only waterfall, Mineral Springs Waterfall. You can take the, 4.6 mile round-trip, Mineral Springs Trail to see the ledge waterfall that is formed by an underground spring.  The Fort Ransom State Forest also has the beautiful Sheyenne River running right through it.
